Sunil Parulkar, an immensely talented artist, possesses a remarkable ability to capture the essence of his homeland through his captivating watercolor wall art creations.
Dr. Sunil Parulkar was born and raised in India. He developed a passion for arts and crafts early in childhood, which he credits to his grandmother, who was a crocheter and quilter. However, his parents recognized his scholastic aptitude and steered him to the medical profession. He graduated from the University of Bombay (Mumbai) with a degree M.S.(Master's in Surgery). He worked in academia for a few years in a teaching hospital in Mumbai before immigrating to the USA in 1974. He further interned and finished residencies in Urologic Surgery at New York and the University of Illinois in Chicago, and was certified by the American Board ed of Urology. Dr. Parulkar practiced urology for almost 40 years, mostly in the northeast Ohio town of East Liverpool, before relocating to Powell in 2017. He retired in 2019 and paints daily in his home studio. With the dawning of his retirement, Sunil joyously embraced his long-lost love for the brush and palette, breathing new life into his artistic endeavors. Over the past several years, he has invested time, patience, and unwavering dedication in honing his craft, resulting in a mesmerizing body of work that exemplifies his artistic prowess.
